JOHNNY LA
(Pronounced "law"), I am a professional headshot photographer that has been capturing great headshots since 2017. Many of my previous clients include talents that were referred directly by agencies and managers, and many also from pure word of mouth. Originally from the Bay Area, I've made the move to Los Angeles in 2014 to pursue my dreams and work in the entertainment industry. It has been a dream come true.
More About Me!
During my free time, I'm quite an adventurous person who loves fine dining, hiking, gym, traveling, and more. I am also a big dog lover, with currently a rescued Chihuahua named Jax and also a German Shephard named Robo. Both were found on the streets.
I have always had a love for photography and enjoyed it mainly as a hobby until I started MRLA Photography. After realizing the outrageous amounts of money that many top pro photographers charge ($1,000-$2,000!), I decided to put my talent to work and help actors who are tight on a budget and looking for quality headshots.
It is my way of appreciating fellow actors in Los Angeles and helping them reach their goals by offering my services. I look forward to working with you and know that as a fellow actor, I can relate to and understand the passion to work hard and make it in this industry. Let's do it together.

When you hire me to be your headshot photographer, you are not just hiring me to point the camera and press a button. You are hiring me to help bring out your best facial expression, and through my directing and coaching, I can help capture that.
You will be working with me personally throughout the entire experience; from booking your session to the final edits. This is how I keep my costs low for you.
Relaxation is key and I will be paying very close attention to your eyes. Throughout the session, I will be communicating with you and also showing you the shots, sharing with you what's working and what's not.
A lot of photographers tend to just shoot and say, "ok, we're done, they're great, let's move on". That is not the case with MRLA Photography. You will get to review your photos on my camera until you are satisfied.
